Cautions
Biotin causes inaccurate results in several blood tests. Stop taking your biotin supplement at least 3 days before any of these blood tests. If this is not possible, it is essential to inform your doctor that you have been taking Biotin.
- Thyroid Function Tests (TFTs): Biotin interference can cause inaccurately high test results for levels of thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) and falsely low levels of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). This means it can hide a thyroid deficiency in blood tests.
- Troponin Tests: Biotin interference may affect troponin tests used to diagnose heart attacks by causing falsely elevated results.
- Hormone Tests (e.g., FSH, LH): Tests measuring hormones like follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) may be affected by biotin supplementation.
- Vitamin D Tests: Some assays for vitamin D measurement use biotinylated antibodies, potentially leading to inaccurate results.

I have been using this for about 4 months which I use it alongside Marine Collagen. My nails are amazing.. Always been able to grown them but not keep them, rarely had 10 nails of the same length. I now file (crystal file) them twice a week to keep a good working length. My nails are strong and do not break easily. I have had some hair growth too, which is what I needed, post menopause. I look after my skin, always have and its really good for my age. These supplements help from the inside.
